Personal Photo Album
I've been buried in work for the last five years and haven't had the opportunity to travel much, but I do live in a wonderful, thriving place and enjoy photographing the activities!

Delray Beach, Florida is a charming little historic town among a huge expanse of city. I live just several miles from the beach and often get a chance to walk along the shore and I enjoy brining friends when I can.

My best friend Sam and I at Mangos in Key West. That is one of my favorite restaurants there. They don't advertise it but if you ask they make coal-fired pizza and you have to ask for the menu!
I go to Key West whenever I can and often stay at Parmer's Resort. Until last year they had many parrots on the grounds. This one is Amber and loved a good head scratchin'!
By the pool at Parmer's, Key West.

A butterfly sancutary in Key West!

Ah happy hour :)

At the Wyland Gallery in Key West. Beautiful work!

Sam and I often take his boat on the lakes, canals and down in the Keys.

Lost my danged keys somewhere at the Hilton in Cocoa Beach. I looked under the car about 20 times....
Danged car had to get towed!

Inside the living quarters module of the International Space Station.
Kennedy Space Center, Florida

Enjoyig a margarita at a tiki hut on Marathon Key, Florida.
Sam getting the boat ready to take out into the glades.
Playing my pink balls at the miniature golf park. Great family fun! Lost to Sam's sister by one lousy point......
Sam and his great big dawg "Harley."
The boardwalk at one of my favorite places Wakodahatchee Wetlands.
Sam having a discussion with "Poof" at Wakodahatchee.

Wakodahatchee Wetlands. I had photographed there for more than six years and this is the only photograph of me there! Weird to be on the other end of the lens.

Look closely at the writing on my hat. Sam gave that to me because I always complained when my hair flew into my face when in his jeep. I didn't get the association between the hat and my bitching until a month later. I don't wear that hat anymore ...

Educating the staff at a Key West restaurant as to the proper care and feeding of the parrots they kept. I was saddened to see how they were being cared for so went to the pet store, bought the proper food, brought it back to the restaurant and showed the staff.
It is a rare ocassion indeed when you find me in a pool or hot tub with other people. I was the only one in the pool this day and was enjoying it immensely!
We rescued a turtle from a certain end when we picked it up off a busy road. Here Sam is relocating it to an out-of-the-way pond. It shows its dislike for the transfer by digging its long toenails into Sam's hand.

Standing near the famous Maroon Bells, Aspen, CO.

One of my very first bird photographs. Black-bellied plover in winter plumage. Lover's Key, Ft. Myers, Florida
These are my friends Erin and Charlie Martin. I went up to the bayous of southern Louisiana to meet Erin because I wanted to do an article on her along with a few other female photographers. It was a blast and the resulting article can be found here.

My old 400 at the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. I had a lot of fun at that place :)

Photographing a green sea turtle on Black Sands Beach, Hawaii.
Refamiliarizing myself with 35mm photography after taking a long break to learn large format.
Walking the scrub at Big Pine Key, Florida. Key Deer are found in this area.

Videography! I love my little miniDV!

Gus loves tootsie rolls. He really just loves shredding the wrapper....
Winston is a "teenager" Senegal Parrot and into absolutely everything. He plays hard and then crashes, as he's doing here.
I am making an afghan out of small squares. Winston discovered my needles.

Winston helps unpack a photo package from Mike Sisk. You're the best Mike!

One of my favorite photos of Gus.
Slippers are big bird fun ....

There goes another hat.

Curiosity might one day get this cat!
Silly bird.

This is Edward. Eddie is a Pacific Parrotlet. Smallest parrot in the world but is identical in mannerisms, characteristics and behavior as the bigger birds. He's packed with pepper!
Here Eddie is trying to steal Ginger's cookie. He has been successful numerous times.
This is Ginger. She was adopted from a woman who could no longer care for her. Her name was "Zazu." I couldn't think of anything more undignified for such a sweet, affectionate but spicy personality so now she's the fabulous "Miss Ginger." Ginger is my watchdog/mama-hen. She screams when someone comes to the door, or when one of the other birds ends up on the floor and she preens and protects everybody.

I love my home life and my little family. Here are a few snapshots of my homelife:
The Christmas tree I decorated myself. I ran out of tinsel on the bottom and didn't get to the store before this photo was snapped :)
Gus in the backyard tree.
I love just spending time with Augustus. He has been a good little buddy to me for more than 12 years.
My boy is so tolerant.....
Where I spend most of my time.
This is a very sweet muscovy duck that brings her babies to our door to get fed.
Hanging out in the backyard on a warm spring day!
Sam fries fish with the best of 'em.
My little buddy.
